So what's the big idea? It seems as if everyone is jumping onto the anti-plastic, zero-waste, eco-friendly bandwagon - and rightfully so. Never before has there been so much plastic in the ocean and so little fish in the sea.
Its up to our society to stop this production - but that means drastically adjusting our lifestyle. We're all wrapped in our own little rat races, mindlessly moving through life's motions, rarely giving our habits any thought. And that's the key. Being conscious about our habits. Yet we all know old habits die hard...
The thing is... it's not easy changing our lifestyle in a consumer-driven society. But it's possible and a lot less daunting, if you do it one step - one habit - at a time.
The idea behind this blog is to share my journey, from weird stares in supermarkets, to the awful taste of homemade toothpaste (and maybe finding something that works for me.) There's also no time-frame. No, "this is how I changed my life in a year or "How to become zero-waste in 30 days" It's all a journey, you see, and it will never end as long as I'm devoted and dedicated to change the footprint I leave.
I hope that this will inspire you to make one small change in your daily habits too.
